My approach

Therapy that feels like a conversation, not a procedure.

I believe the most powerful thing that can happen in a therapy session is that you feel truly heard. Everything else flows from there.

Dr. Jennifer Stracick, therapist at Therapy for the Soul

My philosophy

I came to this work because I believe every person carries an innate capacity for healing — and that the right therapeutic relationship can help unlock it. My role isn't to fix you. It's to walk alongside you as you find your own way forward.

I practice from a place of deep warmth and genuine curiosity. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to mental health. Your story is unique, your needs are unique, and your therapy should be too.

Above all, I believe therapy works best when it feels safe — when you can exhale, be honest, and know that what you share will be met with compassion rather than judgment.

What I believe in

Warmth over clinical distance

I show up as a real, present human being — not a blank screen. Genuine connection is the foundation of meaningful change.

Your pace, always

Healing isn't linear and it can't be rushed. I follow your lead, honoring where you are right now rather than where I think you should be.

Evidence-based, heart-led

I draw on proven clinical methods, but I never let technique get in the way of simply being present with you.

Curiosity without judgment

I approach every session with an open mind and an open heart — no assumptions, no agendas, just genuine interest in your experience.

Methods & techniques

I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, always tailoring the work to what fits you best.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT helps you identify and gently challenge thought patterns that may be keeping you stuck — replacing unhelpful cycles with more balanced, grounded ways of thinking and responding.

Trauma-Informed Care

Everything I do is filtered through a trauma-informed lens. This means I prioritize your sense of safety, choice, and control — and I never push you further or faster than you're ready to go.

Attachment-Based Therapy

Our earliest relationships shape how we connect with others throughout our lives. Attachment-based work helps you understand those patterns and build more secure, fulfilling connections.

Mindfulness & Somatic Awareness

I weave mindfulness practices into our work to help you build a stronger connection between mind and body — noticing what you feel, not just what you think.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Particularly useful in couples work, EFT helps partners identify the emotional cycles driving conflict and build a deeper, more secure bond.

"The goal isn't to become a different person. It's to become more fully yourself."

What a typical session looks like

Every session begins with a simple check-in — how are you feeling today, what's been on your mind, what feels most important to explore. There's no rigid agenda. We go where you need to go.

From there, we might work through a specific situation that's been weighing on you, explore a recurring pattern you've noticed, practice a coping skill, or simply sit with something difficult together. Sessions are 50 to 60 minutes and held via secure video.

At the end of each session, we'll often reflect on what came up and what you'd like to carry forward. Therapy isn't just something that happens in the session — it's something you live between them.

What makes my approach different

I integrate multiple evidence-based methods rather than following a single rigid model

I bring my full self to every session — warmth, humor when it helps, and genuine care

I hold a Doctorate in Social Work, bringing a deep systemic understanding of how life circumstances shape mental health
